ROLL CALL PRESENT: Board Member Garrett Board Member Hosanny Board Member Lockwood-Larson Board Member McCarty Board Member Miyazono Board Member Shirley Board Member Teitelbaum Vice-Chair Glouner Chair Castler ABSENT: Board Member Brown Board Member Hioureas Board Member Miyazono STAFF PRESENT: Deputy Kennedy PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Board Member Hosanny. PUBLIC COMMENTS Linda Homeshi part of the water shed district will try and subsidize an educational video at Dana Hills High School as they had done last year. Also the district has 3 scholarships for students that will be attending a 2 or 4 year college and majoring in any area that includes water in an environmental manor. In the Summers End Beach Festival the Water District booth will try to have snow cones this year as well. Linda thanked the Youth Board for inviting them back to the beach festival again. UNFINISHED BUSINESS There was no unfinished business. DISCUSSION ITEMS Summers End Beach Festival Chair Castler Chair Castler would like every board member to deliver their envelopes to the designated businesses by June 2 so that they will have plenty of time to respond. Youth Board Applications - Chair Castler All non senior board members have to re-apply and the application process is over May 23 by 5 PM and the forms must be turned into Susan Ramos the city clerk. CITY MANAGER STAFF COMMENTS Deputy Kennedy said that Sheryl Lindsey wants the Youth Board to put a discussion item on the agenda about the times that the Youth Board meets.
